After several years working in the surf industry, with brands such as Gul International, Snugg Wetsuits, Balin Australia, and Bilbo Surfboards, Shayne House picked up his board one day and paddled off into the distance, leaving the surf industry - but not surfing or surf culture - far behind.
Shayne launched Shayne House Communications (2008 - 2018) a boutique Communication Design agency. He has since worked across arts, culture, charity, and education, on a diverse range of commissions for the Eden Project, Unilever (Dove brand), KEO Films & The BBC, Jamie Oliver's Cornwall Food Foundation, The Times and The Telegraph Online to name a few.
Shayne House Studio (2010 - Present) is the moniker under which Shayne develops his Creative Practice as an Artist, Designer & Maker. With a love for Live Music Photography and Filmmaking in general, Shayne incorporates photography and film into his multidisciplinary practice, which also includes illustration, letterpress, collage, screen-printing, found items, ephemera and more...
Shayne's independent short surf film "H2R" was shortlisted for the inaugural London Surf Film Festival and screened at Riverside Studios, London in 2011. It was also screened at Boardmasters Festival in 2012.
Shayne House has exhibited in 3 group art shows between 2013 and 2017.
Shayne's originals & prints are available to buy from Ocean Studios in Plymouth, and direct from this Online Store.
